A little guide"ish" things to do in Miami {Going out Friday}

I've been thinking about what would be a really nice thing to do for those who live here in Miami , and also of course  for those who don't but are thinking that maybe one day they will come and visit our "paradise", and I realized that most of us, domestic and imports alike, need a little help in the having-a-good-time department.... you know, places to go, fun interesting things to do, so I've decided that I will write every Friday about this subject and have fun with it; I will be telling you about concerts in our area (or maybe somewhere else interesting) sharing names and reviews of local restaurants, art and expos happening nearby... Sometimes you find a place that it is a FIND, and  you know YOU MUST SHARE IT... So this post it's about that... and it will be updated every Friday!!  Of course I will be gladly accepting your help so please send me recomendations, ideas, restaurants reviews... etc.... I always check YELP, because their reviews come from real people but this will be different , think of it like a little guide"ish" of a little bit of everything that it's going on in the City... And for all of you out there, home and abroad it is my pleasure to say CHEERS and WELCOME TO MIAMI !!!

So let the fun begin !!!! First let me recomend every first Friday of the month for the Art in the Park Concert Series in Coral Gables. The FREE cultural event takes place every month at Ponce Circle Park, it is very summertime like but since our fall and winter are very mild it is a real pleasure to be outdoors enjoying ourselves. "City Beautiful" offers the best of the best the first weekend of the month: Food, Art, Music and great opportunities to socialize. Do both: Al fresco dining from a selection of Coral Gables restaurants at Giralda or Salzedo right under the Stars at the ART IN THE PARK!

If you have kids or just like to act like one then... you can't miss to go to the Miami Childrens Museum. Their motto of "Play, Learn, Imagine, Create" shines through in the wide variety of interactive exhibits that allow kids to explore and play with everything.

And if you are near Sunny Isles, then you MUST go to Caffe L'Attico... a true gem, this is a new version of the old one that was in Caracas -Venezuela back in the 80's, it was the place to see and be seen at the time and their food was amazing, well for our enjoyment they have opened right in our backyard, make sure you ask for Mireya, not only she will greet you with a beautiful smile and attitude but also she will make sure you are pampered to the extreme- The grilled pizza is a must, even as a shared appetizer, do not leave without having the prosciutto and rugola one, it is thin, light, crispy and flavorful... WOW.. I am spoiled forever!!!

 My son is allergic to Gluten so the owner made sure everything that he ate was perfectly safe for him and my daughter had "Pizza and Fries" which IT IS INDEED an item on the kid's menu... what an awesome combination for a kid!!!

Another must is the pear dessert, it takes 15 minutes to make (yes they make it from scratch!!), so better order it up front, but the dish, however was worth de wait. It's a warm pear in a freshly baked crust and home made vanilla ice cream topped with creamy whipped cream... Yum, yum...
Cafe L'attico is located in 1700 Collins Ave, Sunny Isles Beach, Fl 305-944-2215

Chris Tucker is in town.... FUNNY!!!! At the Fillmore in Miami Beach this coming Saturday the 24th (oooops that's tomorrow) but last time I checked tickets were still available for about $80 bucks, click here

And if going to the movies is your thing go and enjoy whatever they are playing at Cinebistro' in the Dolphin Mall (very far for some), great food and wines, good service, overall a very nice experience.... a little pricy but worth it -

There you have it, my first edition of Going Out Friday Posts!!! See you next Friday and remember life is too short not to enjoy it to the fullest, just be safe while doing it, I'll meet you here next week!!
