Aren't brown paper bags the best??? {More ideas than time-Monday}

Creating a candy display table for halloween  is a simple party addition.
What are the basics?
Decide upon a theme
Incorporate the Halloween/Fall colors,
Choose dessert selections
and of course decorate your own paper/candy bags to match everything above...

This post is about that... How to incorporate paper bags into your Halloween decoration... (told you yesterday that I was into full mode Halloween)

via Martha Stewart
This one is a simple skull made with potato stamps. You just need to scoop out the eyes, carve nostril and teeth with paring knife and apply acrylic paint to potato and stamp the paper/treat bag.

Sorry for the blurry picture (Iphone's fault  of course...) }:)

Owl Paper Bag: Super easy to make I got the idea from Lisa Storm, all you need is a paper bag and  scrapbook paper and you're "owl" set :)
Here is another version

Here is another idea... just print some spooky labels, cut with your 2" circle punches and glue in your paper bags and you are done :)

Yes.. you can print in your paper bags... wink

Happy Sunday and tutorial for DIY Original Invitations

I'm happy to be in Full Halloween mode now!! I am working on some ideas for 2 upcoming parties and putting an inspiration board for an upcoming Bridal Shower… but I am all about Halloween now.. Hooray for Halloween…
Also I am doing some changes in my little design studio… and planning to add some new things.  I want to hear some of your thoughts about my blog, the changes are coming in the next few months but I prefer to hear what people says also I want to thank you in advance for taking the time to give me some feedback. I really truly appreciate it!!!
Also make sure to check my giveaway post!!

But today lets talk about invitations... I just love to send invitations in a diferent and original ways...

This tutorial is for an adorable Cherry Party Invitations.

Supplies required:
  • Size 3x3x2 Kraft Brown Boixes (you can find them online  here)
  •  red/white bakers twine
  • red cardstock
  •  lollipops
  •  one sheet green card stock to match the lollipop "stem"

Using a paper cutter,  cut 3 large strips from one piece of card stock.  using the paper cut, score the edges for easy folding. Then you can put the info information there or print it in the computer.

After the cutting, scoring and writing is complete, adhered the accordian card inside to the bottom of the box with white adhesive squares. Then  close the lid. Now wrap the box with twine and attach the lollipop and add the little leaves. To make the leaves  fold the piece of green paper and cut out leaves freehand on the fold. Then wrap the two-sided leaf around the lollipop, placing another adhesive square in between to secure.
Well... Isn't it beautiful?? I always wanted to RSVP  to a party like this...
Hope you all have a GREAT sunday

I love you more than Chocolate!!!

I am the mommy of two  delicious, yet mischievous little kids.. my prince Gianmarco and my princess Valeria, and yes I love them more than Chocolate :)  and spend a lot of my time with them, and then I have the love of my life: Maurizio, so I consider myself a very lucky girl, *wink*

However, there are those times when a nice cup of tea, a very pink and very floral table setting, sugar treats, a great dinner, glass of wine and a great group of friends help me indulge myself and we get  the perfect night.

A friend of mine hostess a perfect dinner for us, just like that, awesome food, wine and the dessert was to die for..  yes everything was delicious…

this bonbon was to die for....

I just need it to say it: Thanks  Anabel everything was great and beautiful…. xox

Do not let Sunday be taken from you!!

Ok.. I feel betrayed.... I don't know what happened yesterday, but I didn't feel the cold front that was supposed to hit Florida, it never came. Here in Miami
was super hot and muggy like always...

My kids were in the pool all day.... and I have to put all the "fall outfits" back in storage,

but overall the day was beautiful and sunny; so that's a gift that I feel thankful for.

Cupcakes makes me Happy {Happy Saturday}

Image

This weekend looks good, the weather in Miami will go down because a cold front is coming our way...Yayyy let's see how "cool". I know the answer:  Instead of our usual 90's degree , the temps are going to be around 88 1/2 degrees, am I right? But let's enjoy those "cool temperatures" for the weekend and please do something nice and cool today.

I am starting my saturday choosing a cupcake for breakfast and not just any cupcake, has to be orange because orange it's the offical color of Halloween, plus Orange is the color of the pumpkins, turning leaves and bonfire flames and lets decorate them (my kids now want everything with pennants and cupcake toppers and as mother of two young childrem I need to please them and myself of course...

So let me see what I found on my cooking books and what inspiration do I find to decorate my saturday cupcakes :)

Ok.. this ones are ok... :) right? and  they are orange!!
Image

These frankestein cupcakes looks super easy to make..and sure will impress my little ones (but they are not orange..) let's try to convice them to try something GREEN :) To make these cupcakes you just need of course a regular cupcake, a giant marshamallow, cover with some green sprinkles or green colored sugar, chocolate sprinkles on top, 2 mini marshamllows baking bits for the eyes  and candy licorice are the bolts ... Then pipe the eyes, scars as desired... easy, easy ;)
